During my time at the Goshen Theater I learned a lot about the inner workings of production venue management. I worked alongside the Technical Director and the Production Manager on a day to day basis and learned about what it takes to run a local performance venue. While there, I became proficient in house management, inventory management, scheduling, public relations, social media marketing, audio/visual equipment, data collection, and revenue calculations. I have been working as an employee for the Goshen College Performance venue for four years. I primarily work as a house manager for performance events, but have been trained in stage management as well. During my time there I have learned a lot about working with artists and making sure patrons are taken care of during a performance. Over the past year I have been promoted to Production Manager Assistant and help the current Production Manager with day to day duties and coordinate the volunteer usher pool that we use for events.
